Welcome to LearnSwingTrading.com.

My name is Craig Ferguson (no, I’m not the talk show host!) and I started trading stocks back in 2000. One of the first stocks I bought online almost doubled in price.

After that I was hooked.

I focused mostly on the fundamentals of a company in the beginning. But, then I discovered an amazing thing – a stock chart. I started reading books on technical analysis and trading stocks. Day trading was too difficult and time consuming. Position trading (trend trading) took too much patience. Swing trading fit me perfectly.

Today, swing trading is my primary method of trading stocks.

  I understand the formula, using stops etc. you stand to lose $200 for a reward of say $400. But the reward is determined by area of resistance, trend line, MA, or whatever, right?
